Gazzelle Champy attended the prestigious Parsons School of Design, where she excelled and won the Most Creative Design Award, judged by a distinguished panel that included Oscar de la Renta, Karan, and Stan Herman.
Throughout her career as a Fashion Designer on Seventh Avenue, NY, she worked as an Evening Wear Designer under her own label, "Gazzelle Ciampi," which was carried by Neiman Marcus, Saks, and fine specialty stores across the country. Gazz has been creating Atelier bridal gowns for her private clientele for over 30 years. For Gazzelle, it began as a child; her mother, a Cuban socialite in the fifties, wore beautiful clothing from designers such as Adolfo and Balenciaga. It was only natural for her to develop a passion for style and grace and devote her life to dressing women's bodies.
With Cuban parents, Gazzelle’s Latin heritage always shines through, setting the attitude of her pieces.
"I’m designing for women who know quality and demand timeless pieces—women who are strong, self-assured, and enjoy attention."
Gazzelle has freelanced on several projects throughout the years, including teaching at the Fashion Institute of Technology, while continuing to create for her private bridal clientele.
Professionalism and passion are the reasons brides choose to work with her.
